The Men's group raise funds for the building of a house in Uganda for Robert Baluku and his mother, Odita. He was one of the students St. Mark's sponsored in Kasese. Robert has since finished his studies, but he is the sole means of support for his mother who is blind.
Here are two photos of Robert with the house, and one of his mother visitng the home of a local priest. Some work remains to finish the house, inclduing plaster, windows, floors, and paint. The Men's Group raise monthly through their Prayer Dinners toward the costs of this house.

Vacation Bible School July 30 - August 3, 2012

Kids ages 4 - 13 join us for this summer's VBS adventure!
Daniel was way more than the guy who survived a den of hungry lions!Travel back to Babylon and join Daniel--torn from his home and forced into the king's service. Imagine the pressure of learning a new language and culture…and the shock of discovering your best friends have been tossed into a fiery furnace. Explore exotic sights and smells in a Babylonian bazaar! Kids and adults will find that they're not much different from Daniel and his friends, who kept their faith in a faithless culture.
VBS Week is July 30 - August 3
We meet Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until Noon. Everyday we focus on a new Bible lesson, play games, make crafts, paint T-shirts, and learn songs. Snacks are provided.Registration is open now. Organ Installation
The organ is almost in. The cabinet for the wall mounted speakers is being installed this week, and we are nearing final adjustments on the organ sound. We are just beginning to explore its musical range and possibilities. St. Mark’s was able to raise funds for this effort, retiring our second mortgage, and purchasing this new instrument in the "Making a Difference" campaign last year.
Annual DOK Tea Party
Each year the Daughters of the King hold a tea party to honor those in our parish who are 80 years old and above. Around 50 people attended and the DOK were able to serve tea and treats on an assortment of beautiful china donated by many people in the parish.
